Once you have created ranges for your Google Sheets data with Dokin, and linked your spreadsheet(s) to your Slides and/or Docs, you can start inserting the value of your ranges as content of your docs and presentations.

By first selecting with your cursor the place within your document where you would like to insert the variable and then selecting the specific variables from your dokin sidebar.

Select with your cursor the position where you would like your variable value to appear

If your variable is a single cell, the value of the cell will be displayed as content of the document you have entered it in.

In the example above, the Diluted Shares variable is a single cell, and its value is added by simply clicking on the variable

If your variable is a table, and you want to add a specific cell of your table you can filter by row or column headers and select the specific cell element(s) of your table that you want to include in your document.

In the above example, we have filtered across our table to get the value of Micheal Scott parties in Q2 FY22

Alternatively, if you want to insert the whole table, you can choose the “table” tab on the top right of the modal.

In any case the value of the variables in your document will be automatically updated whenever their value changes in Google Sheets.
